Terms of Service for Foster and Kinship Families

Welcome to eQuip Hub. By accessing and using this platform to receive donated goods, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. Purpose

eQuip Hub is dedicated to supporting foster and kinship families by facilitating the distribution of donated goods. These items are provided to assist caregivers in meeting the needs of children in their care.

2. Eligibility

  • Recipients must be current licensed foster parents, kinship caregivers, or legal guardians of children in foster care.
  • Proof of eligibility may be required, such as official documentation or verification through a partnering organization.
  • Recipients agree to use the donated items solely for the benefit of the children in their care.

3. Receiving Donations

  • Donations are provided on an as-available basis and are not guaranteed.
  • Recipients are responsible for searching the platform for needed items or posting their need on eQuip Hub.
  • Recipients are responsible for arranging for pickup directly with the donor.
  • Recipients may not sell, trade, or misuse donated items.

4. Privacy Policy

  • Personal information collected will only be used to facilitate donation distribution and verify eligibility.
  • Foster SQUAD does not sell or share personal data with third parties, except as required by law.
  • Users are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials and personal information.
  • Users' email will be added to our contact database and will receive general communications.

5. Liability Disclaimer

Foster SQUAD does not guarantee the quality, safety, or suitability of donated goods. Please ensure you are following guidelines established and documented in your foster or kinship parent handbook.

Questions regarding suitability of furniture and equipment should be directed to RRTS or your case worker. Foster SQUAD is not able to approve or make recommendations on equipment use and/or suitability.

Recipients accept donations at their own risk and agree to hold Foster SQUAD harmless from any claims, damages, or injuries resulting from the use of donated items. Recipients have the right to refuse donations.

6. Prohibited Activities

  • Provide false or misleading information regarding their eligibility.
  • Resell or misuse donated items for personal gain.
  • Engage in any fraudulent or unlawful activity while using the platform.

7. Modifications and Termination

Foster SQUAD reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Terms of Service - Donor

Welcome to eQuip Hub, a donation platform dedicated to providing goods to foster families. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. Purpose

eQuip Hub facilitates the donation of goods to foster and kinship families in need. Donations are given voluntarily and are intended for the benefit of the children and their caregivers.

2. Eligibility

  • To use this platform, donors and recipients must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Foster and kinship families must meet eligibility criteria established by Foster SQUAD.

3. Donations

  • All donations must be in good condition, from smoke-free homes, and appropriate for use by foster families.
  • Donations are given freely, without expectation of compensation or tax deduction unless otherwise specified.
  • Foster SQUAD and recipients reserve the right to accept or reject any donation at their discretion.

4. Privacy Policy

  • Personal information collected from donors and recipients will be used solely for the purpose of facilitating donations.
  • Donors understand that their contact information will be given to the family in need to facilitate a meeting to receive the goods.
  • We do not sell or share personal data with third parties, except as required by law or to fulfill donation requests.
  • Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials.
  • Users' email will be added to our contact database and will receive general communications.

5. Liability Disclaimer

  • eQuip Hub acts only as an intermediary and does not guarantee the quality, safety, or condition of donated goods.
  • Donors agree to release Foster SQUAD from any liability related to the use or condition of donated goods.
  • Recipients accept donations at their own risk and agree not to hold Foster SQUAD liable for any damages or injuries resulting from their use.

6. Prohibited Activities

  • Donate items that are beyond their expiration date (e.g., car seats), illegal, hazardous, or in poor condition.
  • Misrepresent their identity or eligibility status.
  • Use the platform for fraudulent or unauthorized purposes.
